Bonnie Hoke, Soprano, winner of the 1991 Salzburg International Mozart Competition, has sung Mimi in La Boheme (Vienna, Austria), Countess in Le Nozze di Figaro (Pensacola, Natchez, Biloxi), Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte (Virginia), St. Teresa I in Four Saints in Three Acts (Aspen), Mozart C Minor Mass (Costa Rica), Mozart Requiem (Syracuse), and Poulenc Gloria (Atlanta).
Recent solo engagements with Vox Ama Deus include the Mozart Requiem and Beethoven Missa Solemnis. With Romanian born pianist, Georgiana Rosca, Ms. Hoke has performed New York recitals, “A Woman's Voice” (Carnegie-Weill Hall) and "Voyage il Paris!" (Merkin Hall-with pianist, Dalton Baldwin), sponsored by the Nassau Corporation of Princeton, and debuted at the Chalfonte Concerts by Candlelight Series in Cape May, New Jersey .
Ms. Hoke and Dalton Baldwin have recorded a Brahms solo disc, “A Lover's Promise: Songs of Johannes Brahms”, available on www.cdbaby.com/hoke, at the University of Pennsylvania Book Store, and at Tower Records in Philadelphia.
Ms. Hoke has performed and lectured at Keio University (Tokyo); Ferris Women's College (Yokohama); Rowan University; Georgia State; Westminster Choir College; the Free Library of Philadelphia; the Donnel Library of New York; and the French, Polish, and Romanian Embassies in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Hoke has degrees from Oberlin College and Florida State University; and fellowships from the Franz Liszt Institute in Weimar, Germany; the Academie Musicale de Villecroze in France; and the Aspen Music Festival. Ms. Hoke teaches at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, at Gwynedd Mercy Academy, and at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
