Georgeta Stoleriu is one of the most acclaimed Romanian sopranos. She has also developed an extensive career in the field of teaching. During her entire carrier as a performer, she received over 15 national and international awards, among which the Award of the Romanian Music Critic for the series of concerts BRAHMS and COUPERIN-RAMEAU, as well as for her rich activity in the artistic pedagogic field; the commemorative medals "G. Enescu" and "D. Lipatti" in 1995 and the commemorative medals "Haricleea Hartulary Darclee" and "Tristan Tzara" in 1996. In 1997 she also received the HONORIS CAUSA for her contribution to helping suffering children from the A.N.F.D.U.R. Cultural Society. In 2000 she was awarded the Anniversary medal of the Cotroceni National Museum for her cooperation in the cultural programs.

Ms. Stoleriu performed in concerts with the National Public Radio Society and the George Enescu Philarmonica. She was a soloist of the MUSICA REDIVIVA, the musical group of the Romanian Public Radio Society and artistic director for the "STUDIOUL DE MUZICA VECHE" musical group. She performed in concerts all over the world in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Holland, Germany, Italy, Greece, Austria, the Czech Republic, France, The Republic of Moldova, Morocco, The United States, Portugal and Sweden and participated in over 20 international festivals She was a leading actress in TV films such as "Secretul Susanei" by Wolf Ferrari, directed by Marianti Banu (1969) and "The music lesson" by Felicia Donceanu, directed by Dan Manoliu (1997). Ms. Stoleriu was a member of international juries at the 1986 International Canto Competition "Springtime in Prague", the 2003 International Canto Competition "G. Enescu" in Bucharest and the 2007 International Canto Competition in Malmo, Sweden.

Her impressive teaching career started at the "Dinu Lipatti" music school and continued with the National Music University in Bucharest where she is a professor at the Canto Ð Opera Ð Directing section. Her students received 56 awards in international competitions all over the world. She also cooperated with the Music Academy in Vilnius in 2004. In 1995 she founded the Personal Scholarship "Yolanda Marculescu" that is awarded yearly. Among her students were well known sopranos: Liliana Nichiteanu, (soloist at the Zurich Opera), Felicia Filip (soloist of the National Opera in Bucharest), lleana Tonca (soloist of the Opera in Vienna) and Aura Twarowska (soloist of the Opera in Vienna).
