Featured Artist - Bronwyn Fix-Keller

Ms. Fix-Keller has a varied career as a musician. A native Pennsylvanian, she spent her high school years totally immersed in musical performance, winning honors as a pianist and singer. She holds a Performance Degree in Piano from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore where she was a student of renowned Spanish pianist, Julio Esteban

She has always used her keyboard skills as an accompanist, and currently serves as accompanist and performs harpsichord and organ continuo for Vox Ama Deus. Other accompanying credits include work with Eugene Ormandy, Gian Carlo Menotti, Ifor Jones, Robert Page, Mario DiBonaventura and Emerson Buckley.

She has performed as a Mezzo Soprano soloist with regional opera companies and as Choral Artist with the Bach Society of Baltimore, the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, The Philadelphia Singers and the Opera Company of Philadelphia. She has always been involved in church music, both as organist and singer and is currently the Mezzo Soprano soloist at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Wynnewood and organist for High Holy Days at Or Ami Synagogue in Lafayette Hill, PA.

From 1969 to 1975 she was repetiteur and accompanist for the Temple University Music Festival/Institute in Ambler, PA and was co-director of the Graduate Opera Program at Carnegie Mellon University during 1976-1981. From 1982 to 1988 she was the Executive Director of The Cantata Singers in Quakertown with her husband, Ifor Jones, Artistic Director and Conductor. She joined Vox Ama Deus in 1989.

Ms. Fix-Keller taught Piano at Lebanon Valley College and has served as a guest Artist Teacher of Voice on the faculties of Drexel University, the University of Pennsylvania and was an Artist Lecturer Faculty Member at Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA where she taught Studio Voice, Foreign Language Diction and directed the Opera Ensemble. She teaches voice at Bryn Mawr Conservatory in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania.

Ms. Fix-Keller toured the East Coast with Michael Crawford, including such venues as the Verizon Center (formerly the MCI Center) in Washington, D.C. and Rockefeller Center in New York City, and sang in the Barbra Streisand's farewell New York concert at Madison Square Garden.

She is the Associate Music Director and Executive Director of the Ama Deus Ensemble and appears regularly as Mezzo Soprano soloist with the Ama Deus Ensemble and Vox Renaissance Consort. She appeared as soloist with Vox Renaissance Consort in two tours of Eastern Europe and Russia.

As a harpsichord soloist with Vox Ama Deus, Ms. Fix-Keller has recorded major titles by Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Mozart and Purcell as well as several Christmas CD's, with such labels as Vox ESX, Time-Warner, Polygram, Helicon, Newport Classic and Lyrichord. In a 2008 review of a performance of Bach's 5th Brandenburg Concerto, Chestnut Hill Local reviewer writes - "Fix-Keller conveyed the elemental emotion of the music with passionate intensity and its towering structural inventiveness with digital wizardy."
