Thomas Jackson graduated from the New School of Music in 1976, where he studied violin with Yumi Ninomiya Scott and Herbert Light. Since then, he has been freelancing in the Philadelphia area. He has held concertmaster positions in the Haddonfield and Bay-Atlantic Symphonies. In 1985, he joined the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and, more recently, became a member of the Copeland String Quartet, which is composed of members of the DSO.
He is also on the Faculty of Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville, where he teaches violin and chamber music. He has been playing with the Ama Deus Ensemble since 2000.
