Our January concert again celebrates the music of George Gershwin, the composer who is credited with creation of the “symphonic jazz” genre. Acclaimed British piano virtuoso Peter Donohoe returns to dazzle us anew with his keyboard brilliance as he performs Gershwin’s famous piano works on the Bösendorfer Imperial Grand Piano. The program will feature both the Rhapsody in Blue and the Second Rhapsody, which has only recently begun to receive the acclaim it deserves. Also featured: Cuban Overture, Variations on “I Got Rhythm”, Primrose Overture and others. This ever-popular annual tradition will leave you smiling!
