This festival concert features works by the two Baroque giants Bach and Vivaldi: Bach’s exciting motet Jesu, meine Freude, the Brandenburg Concerto No 2 (for trumpet, violin, flute and oboe) plus solo concertos for oboe, trumpet and piano, with Maestro on the Steinway; and from Vivaldi, his jubilant Gloria as well as two instrumental concertos—all with stellar soloists. A program designed to end our Season 34 on a joyous and celebratory note!
