Beyond Bach and Vivaldi, many other European composers contributed to the brilliance of the Baroque era, and this concert presents five of them—from Germany, Italy, and England. In addition to Vivaldi, recently featured composers Telemann and Avison are joined by composers that are rarely heard, including Giuseppe Brescianello, Alessandro Marcello and Giovanni Pergolesi, in sparkling gems for solo recorder, flute, violin and trumpet, and a thrilling double concerto for flute and recorder by Telemann. Complementing this program are Maestro’s customary “live notes”!

Running time: 90 minutes – no intermission

The Camerata concert series is sponsored by the Phelan Family Foundation
